Elegant Blue and White Restaurant Wedding | Vivian and Ashay
Simple yet elegant with a delicate blend of blue and white is how you will describe Vivian and Ashay’s restaurant wedding earlier this year and I can never more thankful for becoming their wedding day photographer and getting the chance to capture all those precious moments in this major milestone in their life.
Vivian is from a Hong Kong and Ashay is from India. The two met each other in the U.S. and are now inseparable. Prior to the ceremony, we did a Chinese tea ceremony photo session at The Mira Hong Kong where Vivian put on two different attires – the traditional Qun Gua and a dazzling red-and-gold dress. It was fun enough to be able to photograph the bride in her exquisite outfit, but getting to capture on film all those candid and sometimes even emotional moments both the bride and groom shared with their family and friends was even more gratifying. In fact, it is perhaps my favourite part of the entire wedding.
From her Gua, Vivian changed into a white serpentine dress from DBR Weddings that naturally flattered her curves. Ivy from Anna Creation did an impressive job doing the bride’s makeup and styling her hair so that she looked picture-perfect in every angle.
The Harlan’s was filled with so much laughter and love as the newlyweds shared their first meal as husband and wife with the people closest to them.
As a Hong Kong wedding photographer, I am delighted to be part of Vivian and Ashay’s special day. Theirs was an amazing crowd that’s very easy and pleasant to work with.
